FEELS – ein psych-punk’nroll-Quartett aus LA – werden ihr zweites Album “Post Earth” am 22.02. auf Wichita Recordings veröffentlichen.
Nach ihrem hochgelobten, TY Segall-produziertem Debüt von 2016 waren FEELS jetzt mit Tim Green im Studio. Es ist der ehemalige Gitarist von Nation Of Ulysses und Prodzent von Bands wie u.a. Bikini Kill & Joanna Newsom.
Der Clip zum Opener “Car”, wurde bei der Stereogum-Premiere wie folgt angespriesen: “The track has a rebellious attitude. It’s hard and blunt and playful, and Geronimo’s opening line — “My friends come with me to Candyland” — invites adventure”.

“Post Earth” ist ein kämpferischer Aufruf zur Rebellion, durchsetzt mit Frustration einerseits und Hoffnung andererseits. “It wasn’t intentional to write a politically charged record,” erklärt Bassistin Amy Allen, die FEELS mit Laena Geronimo (Git/Vox), Shannon Lay (Git/Vox) und Michael Perry Rudes (Drums) gergündet hat. “But the way the world is functioning right now made it impossible to write about anything else. We all need to figure it out; we’re running out of time. The golden age is over.”
Mögen FEELS die Arbeit am zweiten Album auch nicht mit einer konzeptionellen Agenda begonnen haben, ihre Meinung sagen sie deutlich: “If you have any kind of platform, you should use it for good,” sagt Shannon. Geronimo ergänzt, “If our wildest dreams came true, the album would sound exciting to people while also inspiring awareness and action against hate, prejudice, greed, the destruction of our environment…apathy’s not cool and toppling oppression could be fun if we do it together!“
